Let me start by saying that this article is not directed at anyone. Its purpose is to merely put world events into perspective and perhaps show that some of this Russian/Ukraine outrage is misplaced. That is not to say that it is not wrong to be upset and outraged or concerned by what is going on in Eastern Europe. I would be concerned if you didn’t express at least one of these emotions. But I want to put the Eastern European situation into the perspective of what the United States Government has done over the past few decades in the middle east and other nations.
I’m going to say this once and only once. The following article is going to contain graphic images and content from war-torn countries at the hands of the United States. I am doing this to educate people on the suffering and despair that millions of people are currently in and that the Corporate Press will not cover nor show.

Ukraine
On Friday, Vladamir Putin ordered a military attack on the neighboring country of Ukraine. I won’t be diving into the reasoning or context of this attack for this piece. Joe and I covered this extensively in our latest episode of The Standing Brothers Show. I encourage you to check that out as we have covered this topic over the past few episodes. The moral outcry from social media, government, and the corporate press are over the “invasion” and that Putin is a killer. Is Putin at fault for what is occurring? Absolutely. But the hyperbolic level of panic and wall-to-wall coverage of this crisis is a different beast in itself. The current narrative is that Putin is the villain and Ukraine, NATO, and The United States are innocent in all of this. Any other talking point has been met with swift cancelation and labels such as “traitor” and “Putin Apologist”. I wouldn't be surprised if one of these terms is one day thrown at me or my brother.
There is nothing wrong with sending thoughts or prayers to Ukraine over what Russia is doing. They are in the wrong here, after all, they fired the first shot. There is nothing wrong with wanting this to end peacefully and having moments of silence for the people of Ukraine. All of these are perfectly justifiable things to do and I have no issue with them at all. When it comes to the protests and the narrative of this being evil because Putin invaded a sovereign nation, I question these people for a few reasons. Invading peaceful countries is wrong, no debate from me there. And you would be correct to feel that as well. It is wrong. But where was your outrage over the invasion of foreign nations by the United States over the past 30 years? Where were your moments of silence? Or prayers? Or protests? Did you change your social media profile pictures to the flags of a country in the middle east when the U.S invaded? I'm guessing you didn't but you did it now because this is the hip and trendy cause to jump aboard.
This isn't largely inherently everyone's fault. The foreign policy of this government has long been propagandized over its time. Any dissent against the actions of the United States aboard was met with similar language to what we are seeing right now in the Ukraine situation. I hope to bring you up to speed on what the United States has been doing abroad and maybe wake some of you up. If you think what Russia is doing is evil, just buckle up because you're about to be devastated.
Libya
Let's start with the resounding success of the country of Libya. A little history of what happened there. The country was ruled by Muammar Gaddafi, a dictator and bad dude no doubt. The United States government in their infinite wisdom decide to intervene by arming a revolution made up of terrorists against the leader Gaddafi to overthrow the government. Think Russia Gate was bad? Try arming terrorists in hopes that they violently overthrow a government. The United States did this and the armed resistance was successful in overthrowing Gaddafi and bringing an end to his reign. They celebrated their victory by dragging him through the streets, beating and torturing him for all the country to see. They eventually killed him by sodomizing him to death with a knife. Something the Federal Government should be proud of I guess.
Hillary Clinton was pretty happy about it.
The evil Gaddafi is gone so Libya must be a paradise. Mission accomplished? Not even close. Predictably the power vacuum has allowed for an explosion of terrorism to take over the entire country. Libya to this very day is still engulfed in a national civil war. There is a currently conflict between two different government factions that are fighting over the vast resources that Libya holds. Not to mention an active slave trade that didn’t exist under Gaddafi.
“There is no Libyan open-market slave trade without the U.S./NATO-led military intervention in Libya and the subsequent overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi”.
-Jeff Wright of The Libertatian Institute
Prior to this action, Libya was one of the most prosperous countries in that region due to its access to oil. Under Gaddafi, they had one of the highest GDP per Capita and amongst the lowest percentage of people below the poverty line. Now they have been plunged into a near decade-long civil war. Well done Obama. This is not to defend Gaddafi because he most certainly was a ruthless dictator but ask yourself, was Libya a better country before or after the United States got involved?
The War On Terror
Perhaps the most well-known example of this government’s successful foreign policy is the war on terror. What is sobering to me is that there is a whole generation now that has only known war. For their entire lives, the U.S has been fighting stupid wars in the middle east with nothing to show for it except a lot of dead soldiers. Heck, for that matter it has been going on for my entire life. I've only known war. What caused 9/11 is something many people have asked in its wake and why would these people do such a terrible act. The answer is shockingly quite simple. You don't have to look further than what Osama Bin Laden said in his 1996 declaration of war against the United States. Prior to 9/11, the U.S has heavily involved in the middle east, and our presence had a massive effect on the region. We caused massive harm and destabilized the middle east which plunged the surrounding countries into chaos. Read his words for yourself
It is not concealed from you that the people of Islam had suffered from aggression, iniquity and injustice imposed on them by the Jewish-Christian alliance and their collaborators to the extent that the Muslims’ blood became the cheapest and their wealth and assets looted by the hands of the enemies. Their blood was spilled in Palestine and Iraq. The horrifying pictures of the massacre of Qana, in Lebanon are still fresh in our memory. Massacres took place in Tajikistan, Burma, Kashmir, Assam, Philippine, Fattani, Ugadin, Somalia, Eritrea, Chechnya and in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Massacring Muslims that sent shivers in the body and shook the conscience. All of that happened and the world watched and heard, and not only did not respond to these atrocities, but also with a clear conspiracy between America and its allies prevented the weaklings from acquiring arms to defend themselves by using the United Nations as a cover. Muslims became aware that they were the main targets of the Jewish-Crusader alliance of aggression. The false propaganda regarding human rights have vanished under the tribulations and massacres that were committed against Muslims everywhere.
-Osama Bin Laden
Does this sound like a man who “hates us for our freedom”? Or someone who is fighting back after years of United States occupation?
This last aggression was the worst catastrophe that was inflicted upon the Moslems since the death of the Prophet. That is, the occupation of the land of the two holiest sites, Islam’s own grounds, the cradle of Islam, source of the Prophet’s mission, site of the Ka’bah was launched by the Christian army of the Americans and their allies.
-Osama Bin Laden
Who is the aggressor here? Seriously ask yourself after reading what Bin Laden’s true motive was. It is impossible to read his words come away with any other conclusion. 9/11 was the direct result of our intervention in the middle east. There is a term for this, it’s called blowback. This is what happens when you bomb a country for 10 years straight. You can’t expect to do this and get away with it without consequences. Ron Paul taught us this many years ago.
We invaded Afghanistan and Iraq over the following years post 9/11. What was the result of our time in these regions?
A report from the Costs of War project at Brown University revealed that 20 years of post-9/11 wars have cost the U.S. an estimated $8 trillion and have killed more than 900,000 people.
$8 trillion dollars and close to 1 million lives lost. Was it worth it? Looking at the recent troop withdrawal from Afghanistan under the Biden administration it’s hard to find any positive. Right after U.S troops were removed from their occupation in the region the Taliban quickly took back control of the country. The very thing we were trying to prevent. So in other words, it was all for nothing. Trillions of dollars were wasted and nearly 1 million people died for absolutely nothing. Over 30 million refugees have been created as a direct result of the Federal Government. The United States bombed a region to the point of radicalizing people into flying planes into the World Trade Center and Pentagon. Then America further invades this region spending trillions of dollars and laying waste to nearly a million souls.
Yemen
If you were applauded by Libya, Afghanistan, and Iraq, then you are going to be enraged at what is currently going on in Yemen. There are few things in this world that make me sadder and angrier at the same time than the situation in Yemen. Yemen is the utmost tragedy currently going on in the world. The country is engulfed in a deep and devastating war between the Saudi-backed military and the Houthi rebels. The Houthis have seized most of the nation including the capital city. This bloody civil war has been going on for nearly 10 years. How is the United States involved in all of this? Before this war broke out Yemen was already the poorest country in the middle east, so keep that in mind before I continue any further. Back in 2014, the Obama Administration worked alongside Saudi Arabi to launch a war in Yemen in an attempt to overthrow the Houthi rebels. This was a way to play nice with Saudi Arabi after the Bush administration’s War on Terror and Obama’s Iran Nuclear deal, both of which were wildly unpopular and threatening to Saudi Arabi as they are enemies with Iran.
In order to play nice with them, he used the United States military to work alongside Saudi Arabi engaging in a civil war with Yemen. Essentially this entire war and crisis is a political move in an attempt to appease one of the evilest governments in the world, Saudi Arabi. An ally if you will due to the trade we do with them. The United States worked right along with Saudi forces as they unleash hell on one of the poorest counties in the entire world. Sick to your stomach yet? Just wait.
The United Nations calls the situation there the worst humanitarian crisis in the world. I’m going to throw a bunch of horrifying stats at you and as you read them just remember that The United States Government is partially guilty for all of these. Are you ready?
The humanitarian crisis in Yemen remains the worst in the world. Nearly four years of conflict and severe economic decline are driving the country to the brink of famine and exacerbating needs in all sectors. An estimated 80 per cent of the population – 24 million people – require some form of humanitarian or protection assistance, including 14.3 million who are in acute need. Severity of needs is deepening, with the number of people in acute need a staggering 27 per cent higher than last year. Two-thirds of all districts in the country are already pre-famine, and one-third face a convergence of multiple acute vulnerabilities.
-From The United Nations
Over 20 Million people are at risk of dying from starvation or a preventable medical condition. 20 million people! The United States to this day aides the Saudi Arabian government in the bombings of hospitals, schools, and homes, killing thousands. They are bombed and attacked daily with the help of the United States intelligence and Military. They are both attacking whatever crumbling infrastructure and economy of the poorest nation in the middle east and completely wiping whatever is left off the face of the earth. What is happening in Yemen is an absolute genocide. Yemen currently has the largest outbreak of Cholera in the world and thousands will die from it. Over 100,000 dead and millions plunged into the worst humanitarian crisis of a generation, and The Federal Government is guilty of it all.
How are we directly involved in causing all of this you may ask? Not only do we aid in the military strikes on this country but we also work in setting blockages around the country, preventing food and aid from entering. So not only are we carpet bombing them but we are also blocking aid and supplies that would ease the genocide. The U.S and Saudi forces have blocked food, clean water, and medical supplies from entering the country. This is a genocide. These are crimes against humanity and are about the most despicable things that any government has ever committed in history. To damn an entire people to starvation and disease all for a political move should earn you a swift trip to the gallows if I had my way. And that goes for every President and official involved in this. Even the ones who stood by silently and watched as their government aided in a genocide of a foreign land.
Have you ever been so angry that reading or seeing something made you want to cry over it? That is the emotion I feel every I see a photo or a child who more resembles a skeleton than a human. When I see a child shot dead in the streets. When I see a man weeping in front of his bombed home or business. To be honest, I get really pissed off and emotional as a result. To know that all of this was 100% preventable and the “great” Barack Obama started this. He started it and the Hero of the conservatives Donald Trump, who stood by and did nothing to end it. Just shows to me their true character. It is indefensible. They both deserve to hang at the gallows or at the very least spend the rest of their lives locked in a cell rotting away for these crimes against humanity. If that type of language offends you or hurts your feelings, express those feelings to the dying child they helped block aid too. See how they feel about it. As for me, I do not care. I will not apologize for that statement or anything else in this piece. I am dead serious. In a fair world, you don’t get to do this and walk away free. You don’t get to run for President or have a comfortable life ever again. Once they die and meet the Lord Jesus Christ, they will have to stand in account for the crimes against humanity they committed.
In conclusion, as for what is going on in Europe. Is Russia at fault? Yes? Is the crisis there real? Yes. Should we as Americans and be keeping a watchful eye on the situation? Yes. Should we send our thoughts and prayers to the people of Ukraine? Absolutely. Should we have this level of moral outrage for Russia invading? That’s tricky. Due to the narrative of Russia invading a foreign country, which is essentially what people are mad about, I am not sure. What moral high ground do we have to be outraged about this? Where do you get this high and mighty authority to criticize a country for an invasion? We’ve been doing it for the past 50 plus years. We are far more guilty of anything Russia has done in Ukraine. So for the people out protesting and posting #IStandWithUkriane to whatever social media site you use, just remember that our government is no better than the Russian government. I honestly believe that the vast majority of people who are voicing these opinions are doing so because it’s a hip trend. They saw it on Facebook or TikTok and felt so outraged that Russia would dare invade another nation.
Don’t take it that I’m diminishing what Russia is doing. They fired the first shot and they are 100% at fault. But I find it interesting that an entire nation can be virtually silent when their government has overthrown nation after nation and is still currently aiding in a genocide. Why is it when Russia attacks all of sudden the entire world universally cares? Countless wars have been waged by many other countries and not a word is uttered in outrage compared to this one. Why is that? It is because this is a first-world nation? It is because white Europeans are being attacked? We only care because they look like us? Or because it is happening to a “civilized” nation compared to the third countries of the middle east and Africa. I firmly believe that those have to be a factor, but the number one reason we are seeing this level of global outcry is social media.
The first war you can watch on your phone in high-definition. We already mindlessly scroll through stupid content on these apps enough before, but now we are bombarded with images and videos of Ukraine and the constant exposure is causing an increased emotional response. Acting based on emotions is never a recipe for success and I fear this will only further push the United States’ involvement.
The Russian invasion of Ukraine is not only the largest European land conflict since the 1940s — it’s also the first for the TikTok and YouTube generation.
As videos pour in across Twitter and Instagram and other social media platforms are leveraged for credit or propaganda, it’s become evident that we are in a brand new era, much like the one that arrived with twenty-four-hour cable news coverage of the US invasion of Iraq in 1990. Back then it was grainy night vision images of patriot missile launches and target explosions that dazzled homes all over the United States. Now anxious audiences simply launch their favorite social media app on their smart phone to see the latest hi-definition shelling of buildings in Kyiv from Russian forces, or viral news clips of Ukrainians threatening to “f*ck some Russians up”.
-Stephen Miller of Spector World
I believe the reason we are seeing this unique reaction to the war in Ukraine is due to social media and effective propaganda from the cathedral. This flood of curated content is driving an increased emotional response from the world the likes of which we’ve never seen. We’ve never seen nearly every large corporate boycott a country over military action. Never seen every institution in this country coming together to outdo one another in commending Putin. At Biden’s State of the Union address to Congress, nearly everyone attending was wearing a Ukrainian pin or flag. I wish that we had this level of unity for the other wars that have occurred in the past. I wish that there were protests in the streets against the newly active slave trade in Libya due to us overthrowing Gaddiqi. I wish that Nike, Disney, and Apple denounced the actions of the United States for the millions of Refugees that have been created as a result of the War on Terror. It would have been nice for your Facebook friends and your favorite TikTok influencers to show some outrage for the Genocide in Yemen that Obama created.
Based upon your reaction, it’s okay when America does it but not Russia. This is not largely everyone’s fault as the corporate press will never truly tell you what’s going on. The officials in the government will never level with the American people and give a true account for their foreign policies. We have to do the research ourselves in an attempt to hold these people accountable for their actions. One thing I will say is the ones preaching the loudest about this Ukrainian crisis narrative are one of two things. Either woefully misinformed and oblivious to the world or they are covering for something. What it says to me is that these people are not informed and they really don’t care about what is truly going on in the world. They only care now because their friend on Facebook or their favorite celebrity commended Russia. Calling out Russia is the newest trend and nobody wants to be left out.
